The easiest roasted broccoli with chilli and parmesan recipe. Sweet, spicy and tangy flavours enhance this nutritious vegetable, making it an absolute powerhouse of flavour – the perfect side dish for almost any dinner plate.
Roasting broccoli brings so much more flavour than simply boiling, plus its great if you’ve already got the oven going for something else – make the most of it!
Broccoli has long been my favourite, go-to vegetable for two reasons:
- It tastes incredible (particularly when roasted like in this recipe)
- I feel great about myself for eating it because of it’s nutrition profile!
How to make ‘roasted broccoli with chilli and parmesan’:
What you’ll need:
- 1 head of broccoli (about 325g)
- 1tbsp olive oil
- 1tbsp runny honey
- 1tsp dried red chilli flakes
- Large pinch of sea salt & a sprinkle of cracked black pepper
- 20g grated parmesan
Step by step:
- Pre-heat your oven to 200C
- Prepare your broccoli by chopping it into bite-sized florets
- In a bowl, add the broccoli, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper and chilli flakes
- Stir the broccoli well to coat
- Tip the coated broccoli onto a baking dish/tray
- Pop the prepared broccoli into the oven
- Bake for 20 minutes
- It’s done when the broccoli is fork tender
- Grate the parmesan
- Serve the broccoli in a bowl, topped with the fresh grated parmesan and more black pepper if you wish!

Ingredients
- 1 whole head of broccoli roughly 325g

- 1 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tsp dried red chilli flakes
- salt
- pepper
- 20 g parmesan finely grated
Instructions
- Pre-heat your oven to 200C
- Prepare your broccoli by chopping it into bite-sized florets
- In a bowl, add the broccoli, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper and chilli flakes
- Stir the broccoli well to coat
- Tip the coated broccoli onto a baking dish/tray
- Pop the prepared broccoli into the oven, bake for 20 minutes. It's done when the broccoli is fork tender
- Grate the parmesan (you can do this while the broccoli is baking)
- Serve the broccoli in a bowl, topped with the fresh grated parmesan and more black pepper if you wish!
